New to Prana House of Hot Yoga?
What is Hot Yoga? Hot Yoga translates a little differently depending on where you go, however at Prana House of Hot Yoga, we follow the traditional former-Bikram methods of heat and practice. We utilize 105 degrees and 40% humidity to achieve a luscious, productive sweat that is proven to unlock the body and many incredible health benefits. We do not utilize infrared heaters, but use a safe method to warm the air, walls, floors, and body in an ambient style. Walking into our hot room is like walking into paradise! You'll love it.
What should I wear? Wear as light and little of clothing as comfortable. Contrary to popular belief, wearing less in this type of heat actually allows you to sweat MORE. Wearing more clothing or heavy clothing causes the heat to cling to the body, rather than allowing the skin to sweat. We highly recommend to wear shorts, tank tops, sports bras. Feel free to wear yoga pants or other flexible gym clothes. Binders, waist trainers, sweat pants, and sweat suits are not allowed.
How should I prepare? Come hydrated. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water (all required for a class, but also available for rent/sale at the studio if needed). Try to arrive for a class about 10-15 min early to allow time for checking in and setting up. Late admittance may not be possible.
Are reservations required? Because we are a microstudio (a small studio located within a wellness center), we highly recommend and rely on reservations. Walk-ins are welcome on a standby basis if space is available. Feel free to text 931.472.4410 for any questions or to make a reservation without using our app. Online bookings can be made here.
